Gravity Flow Racks as the name suggests use natural gravitational forces to move Pallets from one end of the system to the other using the FIFO principle. Rollers help the transfer of the pallet from the "in" side to the "out" side of the system. A Gravity flow rack is a Drive in with no access to any pallets in the system once they are fed in. Gravity flow racks offer dense storage and conserve space and combined with conveyors provide easy access to picking faces that can be accessed quickly while reducing operator time. By achieving high-density, dynamic storage, Gravity Flow Racks offer excellent return on investment in a fast turnaround warehouse or a manufacturing facility and they help keep people (i.e. the pickers) at a safe distance from the forklifts that are replenishing the racks.
